This is the type of property the market waits for.

Location, price, some water views, spacious allotment, solid brick, good potential, close to the city centre, yet still enjoying quiet residential living, with recommended neighbours.

Just ideal to move into and then upgrade at your leisure.

The home has surprisingly good natural light, with a feature stone fireplace, decorative frosted sliding doors and polished wood floor to the lounge, just a few of the individual features that ensure the home retains it's own unique character.

Offering 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, open plan kitchen/dining, separate lounge, rear porch/sun room, bathroom with bath, separate shower, plus vanity. Separate toilet.

The laundry is a good size, with a dual stainless steel wash trough. Rainwater is available to the kitchen sink.

For those hot summer days, while you wait for the sea breeze to kick in, remain in comfort with the window air conditioner and ceiling fans, then open your home up, let the cool air flow through and enjoy a restful nights sleep.

The property lends itself to upgrading, maybe extension and definitely, the addition of an outdoor living area/deck (all STCC). Ideal opportunity to extend your living area and create the perfect place to relax, enjoy your views or entertain family and friends.

The yard is spacious, compliments of the 924m2 allotment and has an established nectarine tree. Delight in its' produce, each season.

The original home is still standing in the rear yard.

If you are passionate about restoration, then here is the perfect opportunity - right at your doorstep, without trying to live amongst the disruption.

Maybe your preference would be to replace it with a shed, the choice is yours.

Rent appraisal - estimate $270 - $280 per week.

Position is about location, views and neighbourhood, but also it is about the extra special things that are often close by. Great for you, children, visitors and special occasions.

Pioneer Park is only 1 house away, plus you are just a short walk from The Old Mill, Flinders Park and Mill Cottage.

PIONEER MEMORIAL PARK

This park of 19 acres was donated on the 24th of October, 1952 to the Corporation of the TOWN OF PORT LINCOLN by MISS A.H. BISHOP, Descendant of the pioneer family of Captain John Bishop who took up the land in 1839.

MILL COTTAGE

This charming cottage was built in 1866 for Joseph Bishop, store keeper and landholder, by his father, Captain John Bishop. The builder was Mr Shepperd and the cost was 65 pounds. Joseph's father was one of the earliest settlers in Port Lincoln. He arrived on the brig "Dorset" in March 1839. The Bishop family ran the first store in the town and had extensive land holdings, including Boston Island. Joseph Bishop married in 1868 and raised a family of six children in the cottage. Extra rooms were added by Mr Garret as the family grew. Local limestone was used and the quality of masonry work is still apparent today. Amy Bishop, youngest daughter of Elizabeth and Joseph, lived in the cottage from 1937 to her death in 1963. Amy was a noted painter and her work may be seen in the Mill Cottage Museum today. Miss Bishop is also remembered for her gift of land for use as a town nature reserve, now know as Pioneer Park. Historic Mill Cottage is in the care of the National Trust.
